Memín Penguin # 422-424 # 419-421

accidentally Memín just lost in the desert and joins a group of wet going through the typical ups and downs to which they often face. Quite an ordeal just to raise awareness in those suffering from crossing illegally walk across (mostly seems to spread warning to no longer do so).

As promised to Ricardo to help with "something" was not said in the previous issue for a little emotion, Memin comes to the house of his friend. Ernestillo encounters, who stops him and asks where it goes. Again (and unfortunately) is a comedy routine generated an absurd conversation between the two, just because the mens Memin can not say things clearly, impatient to Ernestillo, but that does not stop burst of sarcasm.
the end, the black man gets to say that goes with Ricardo to help with moving some things you want to send to relatives. Ernestillo offered to help and soon arrive with Richard, who already have the box it will list things. Ricardo explains that going to send all their distant relatives (which is not known) to Chihuahua. Ernestillo up with him to fix the rest, leaving Memín down by putting things in the box. It seems too small, get larger, adapted to the degree he wanted to settle there, taking a nap. Advises them to your friends but not reach to hear. Close the lid to keep the light and when Ricardo and Ernestillo are down, he was already asleep. As they do not see there, they assume he went back to his house and seal the box, just when the movers arrive. Chargers take the box (along with many others who apparently were already set in advance "or whether they just needed help with one? like I could not have done just that lazy) and make sign for Ricardo not responsible if the cargo does not reach its destination. He seems suspicious, but as things threaten to go down again, you must obey. When they are gone, Richard is restless, sensing that he forgot something and discover Memín cap on the floor. Immediately tied ropes and you do see Ernestillo, who does not believe the bold so stupid as to let them take it in the box, unless you slept or something.
Ricardo enters panic when he realized that Memin has sent the state farthest country (the farthest Chihuahua? and Baja California?) And Ernestillo have to slap to calm him. Suggests Ernestillo advance notice to their families, but according to Richard, no phone, so I see no solution to your problem. Carlangas arrives and incorporate it into their grief.
removal rates, which are a pair of complete idiots, are on the road in the Chihuahuan desert, they fall asleep at the wheel and almost colliding with a truck. They swerved causing the box that Memin is falling and there is spin. Memin wake up and get out, being in a place strange. Trying to orient himself, you see the sign indicating missing 200 miles to Chihuahua, having no idea whether it is near or far, but it has to be walking. A car stops and asks the board as needed to get there and they were saying Memin without asking raita. Lamented their neglect, Memin is walking through the desert, just when it gets dark. Memin thinks he sees a monster attacking him, but no more than an owl. Is relieved but soon chasing a coyote and to save, it climbs a cactus, which has to be released to feel the thorns. The coyote runs away, scared to see a rattlesnake attacking the bold, but a timely eagle appears to take her in his claws, making a reference to the national symbol (very nice but I'm not sure that the eagles are predators at night).
day and is made Memín continues, now being the victim of an illusion that makes him see his friends leading him to an oasis. It disappears when you take a bold thrust into the ground. A truck passes, showing that he has returned to the road and decides that there can stay and wait for a ride to civilization.
Memin's friends are going to break the news to Euphrosyne, who, of course, collapses upon receipt. Memin
not successful in their first attempts, being ignored by passing trucks. When you stop at a nearby (why Memin not going there instead of staying there? At least have shade). It reaches and manages to climb, but they leave the forces. Someone poured water on his face, revived and is meeting with a variety of people and a child gives you more water to drink. Memin is appreciative and was surprised when they walk asking everyone to keep quiet and hide behind the boxes. Obviously it is a group of "wet", people who want to cross over for job opportunities and they do it illegally by immigration restrictions, but Memin is too dumb to understand and little by little we are explaining.
Border patrol inspecting does a lousy job, because not check the back of the truck, and soon cut (does the truck moved into the office after Memín up or was always there and one mistook him for a business? Who knows, but if it was always the bad customs must be of the view not to see Memin climbing). The boy travels with his parents and among these, are the ones who will be given attention although no names have, but all are good people and very patient to explain their situation to Memín though he still does not understand the need go to the U.S. under these conditions.
The pair of smugglers to take them, make them leave for the second part of the road, which is going to walk through the desert. To discover Memín as not paid for the "service" threaten to leave there, but the father, in a gesture of solidarity, insists on paying for it. Eufrosina
recovers from print, from the tears for what has happened to his son, but do not blame Richard, knowing that Memin is a habit of getting in trouble for being dazed. His friends suggest to go to Chihuahua to locate it.
A Memín you dislike the smugglers and the feeling is mutual, but they have no choice but to follow his orders during the journey. A lady who can handle your luggage, Memin is offered to help, but only and can carry the load.
The boy says to duck when a patrol passes by and says that what follows is to cross the river. " Memin not understand because they must take as many precautions as if it were a plague ball but his father explains that Americans are treated well. He replies that if so they should stay in Mexico but they have no choice because the people just do not get a job (for get out to another part of the country what's the risk so much?).
Business in the river is especially difficult for Memin, exasperating both one of the smugglers who throws him overboard. The child, they gave him a float, tells you that water is shallow and Memin is trust, but eventually sink to go further and the father has to get to rescue him. Once safely on the surface, he says many are not lucky enough to survive the crossing of the river (what a way to refer to actual cases it is clear that these "examples" not to offend people because they keep happening, tsk) . They complain that the smugglers had not helped Memín but they reply that their job is to bring them and guide them, do not care. Memin
are progressing and cries for water to soothe their thirst by putting on notice of migration for the grab. The smugglers are turning against him but the father intervenes and ultimately they prefer to flee on the other side. Even without the guides, the wet insist on continuing the dangerous crossing. The child tells Memin is the third time they make that trip because in the others have caught and forced to return. After a long walk in the sun, they stop to rest, and the water runs Memin. Feeling bad for what it caused to the other, decides to fetch water and find a pool from which you can remove it. He goes on to ask the property owner a bucket, but it is American and recognized as a Mexican Memin and returned to take a firearm.
Memín runs away and warn others that have to flee from growers who follow in his pick up shooting with unusual enthusiasm (I guess the illegals also have to face these things.) Memin is saved after falling into a ditch and the others are hiding in some bushes. They decide to camp and spend the night there. Memin was moved to see his little friend sleeping with their parents and missing Eufrosina.
The washer also think of him and although it is night, Memin's friends come to be with you in your search, with Mr. Arcaraz leading them to Chihuahua. For when in the car, like it's day. Is that there are two hours difference between north and south, but they can not spend day and night something that would take something like ten minutes. Wet
's family (and not visible to others "died on the way?) Wakes Memín to continue the journey, but after a while, patrol sighted approaching migration. Memin decide sacrifice, distracting them while they hide. U.S. agents come calling menacingly Memín roles, he manages to explain or do not have. Warn that it will return to Mexico, but not before giving him their batons as a lesson for daring to cross their borders, in obvious stereotype of the American attitude against this type of people with a tinge of xenophobia (and neither do I say that even presenting some racism, I wonder if this scene does not cause the immediate cancellation of the magazine if we remember that discriminated misunderstanding when Memin in Dallas, Texas). They put the truck where they also have detained the smugglers, who recognize Memin and get even with him to his taste.
The Memín hunt group ends up at the office, just in time to see how they pitch to kick (I'm not sure they are the deportations should not they lock him up or something first and tell the family? grab people and return it seems to me more stealthy than legal). Eufrosina out of the car to hug Memin and his friends join him, glad to see it, but it so striking (Mr. Arcaraz also goes there, but like I just painted, do not say or do anything).
Days go by and everything returns to normal. The postman brings a letter to Memín from his friend, a child who has gone from wet to illegal immigrants (in what moment Memín gave your address? Not even formally introduced by name), who reported that although got jobs and all, and xenophobia continued Eufrosina ingratiates that it would be best to return to Mexico. Reach their friends with the teacher Romero, who bring a cake just to show how important it is for them (Just out of sight for a couple of days?). The teacher adds that to rest enough given two days off (but as has already spent a few days how many days can leave you miss class?), But still have to catch up later, so do not have time Memin celebrate.
Carlangas all ends with saying that there may be surprises when you return to classes, which is reaffirmed by the narrator, as always, with something we want to put on hold not to miss the next issue.
