Memín is indicted for robbing the father of a "friend" and is jailed. That says it all.
Memín meets early in the alley and Ernestillo Carlangas who has been reminded that the birthday of Ricardo. This was incredibly unrehearsed and poorly managed. How did all these deductions Carlangas so quickly? Also, I was betting too much to chance a crook like that had family and use the money to give gifts to his lover. Could easily have no one and spend only the money. If not illegal as they were able to follow and bet that, just after the scam, would go to visit her and then his wife. Very inconsistent.
